Why solar
Lit up without digging the place up
Running mains power to a light is usually the expensive part of the job. Solar takes that out, which is why it often lands at a fraction of the cost and finishes in a fraction of the time.
- No trenching for power
- A mains job means cutting a trench for cabling, right through paths, lawns and gardens. Solar leaves the ground exactly as it is.
- No live services at risk
- With no digging, there is no chance of hitting underground power, water or sewer, and no service locating bill before you start.
- Lower cost to install
- No trenching, no machinery and no electrician to connect to mains, so the install costs a lot less than running power to the same spot.
- Nothing to run
- Each light charges itself by day and runs off its own battery at night. No metering, no wiring back to a board, no power bill.
- Quiet on site
- No excavators or trenchers running all day. Guests, residents and staff carry on while the work goes on around them.

What we install
Fixed properly, first time
- Solar bollards
- Low-level pathway lighting for walkways, bridges and garden edges. Mounted to a footing, a deck or into structural steel.
- Solar street lights
- Pole-mounted lights for roads, car parks and path approaches where a bollard will not throw far enough.
We source our lights from Star8 Green, backed by a warranty of 12 months or more. Because we handle the civil work as well, footings, paths and edging are set out to suit the lights rather than worked around afterwards.

Recent project
A dark footbridge at Discovery Parks
Ten solar bollards across a 25 to 30 metre footbridge, with a solar street light at either end. The darkest stretch of the park walk is now lit every night, with no trenches and no disruption to guests.
